The 神经肌肉 Division specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the nerves and muscles. We provide comprehensive assessment of patients with neuropathy, myopathy (inherited and inflammatory), 重症肌无力, 肌肉萎缩症, and autonomic disorders.
Symptoms that suggest neuromuscular disease include:
- Progressive weakness
- Loss of muscle bulk

神经肌肉 specialists have advanced training to perform electromyograms (EMG). This test is an important measure used to diagnose nerve and muscle diseases. This test records the electrical activities in the affected nerve and muscle which provides valuable information about the condition to guide treatment.
A 神经肌肉 evaluation begins with a thorough consultation in our clinic. This includes review of outside study results, a detailed medical history and physical examination. Upon completion of the exam, blood tests and an EMG may be requested.
